child cancer risk higher in richer rural families
I recently read an article about kids exposed to pets when they were infants and how they have less of an incidence of allergies. I was surprised by this study, and the results. With Cancer and children in rural rich families, it seems isolation could be an issue and also maybe pressure. Tiger moms are an issue in China mainly because of a one child rule, but every where families are stressed the child will absorb some of these extra curricular energies.
That is really surprising, actually, but it doesn't surprise me (ha ha!). But it's weird how exposure both causes disease and prevents disease and how lack of exposure guarantees weakness but prevents getting a disease. of course I always think about the battle between the evil qi and the righteous qi, so if you explain it with TCM it makes some decent sense.
