First, a definition of Causality: the relationship between an event (the cause) and a second event (the effect), where the second event is a consequence of the first. ...
It seems to me that Western frame of mind has no problem identifying causality, usually as an instant aside from ourselves.  More and more sick people blame their issues on "genetics" or a divorce, or completely disassociate and blame when they say "this person did this...which made me feel this..."

On the contrary, Eastern frame of reference often implies a certain technique that relies on personal inclusion (or responsibility) in the "cause" defined as intention, or karma.  It also implies that by transcendence on is capable of affecting their circumstance, rather than simply being a passive bystander.

  1. Sylvia, I like the connection between causality and uncertainty in physics and the role of the person who experiences illness in the illness. We are part of the swirl, swirling inside and outside of ourselves. And we may have to come up with answers or solutions or actions or letting go's that go beyond our initial sense of comprehension, no? Thanks....
